Thanks for the reply and reaching out. I think this is correct. I looked at the BWP to the USD over the last ten years and it is down ~30%. Most of this has occurred since mid-2021 and I can't find general reasons why considering Botswana's economy has done so well and the political environment is about as good as it gets in Africa.
I was thinking that one could enter into swaps, but the BWP is a closed currency.
Would like to get your response to what I said if you get the chance.
I think you are missing a key element: inflation. The longer-term growth I would bet is much lower if you put it in USD.
