I read and have been thinking about Michael Mauboussin's recent update to his ROIC framework and accounting for intangible assets as part of invested capital. It's a slog because I'll have to do it manually and I still haven't figured out if my approach to estimating them is close to accurate so I'm sticking to Mr. Huber's framework for now.
